Station 6 (Math Tutorial Video) Reflection

Once you have completed and submitted your 2-3 minute Math Tutorial Video, your task now is to write a short reflection on the following:

  • In one paragraph, write a short reflection about how this activity increased your understanding of the topic you chose. What did you find fun about this station? What did you gain from putting this math tutorial video together? How can this activity help students who are struggling to understand mathematics from their teachers in school?

- Your reflection should be posted on this blog by Sunday, April 9, 2017 at 10PM. I would suggest you write your reflection the moment you are finished with this station so that you don't forget to do it.

- Any reflections posted after 10PM on Sunday, April 9, 2017 will not be counted for a grade. Utilize your time during break, lunch, Academic Lab, or after school to work on your reflections at school if you do not have access to a computer or Internet at home BEFORE THE DUE DATE.

  1. This project was a flash back on how to change fractions to mixed numbers. This station was fun because it allowed me to be creative on my video. This station helped me how to explain how to do the topic I chose to some else, if they ask me. It helped me use the proper words. This activity can and will help other students that are struggling to know how to solve math problems by using the knowledge their peers and teachers know.

I was doing the inequality(solving two step).I make the video like more than two minute long, i talk about the vocabulary and i give the 3example and explain.This station is good for student to talk and share ideal in what they learn in this class also help the students to understand more . This station help me to know more about inequality and teach me how explain inequality to other people.

  3. The topic I chose to do my Math Tutorial Video was Factoring Algebraic Expressions. As I explained how to solve these type of problems I noticed that I began to comprehend it in my own way. The thing I found most fun about this situation was that it was very digital and hands-on. Some things I gained from putting this math tutorial video together was how to use better math vocabulary terms to explain the concept. This video can help students who are struggling to understand mathematics because it can help them teach their peers in their own unique way by using the skills they learned in class.

  4. the topic I chose to do for my math tutorial video was easy because we already learned it was one step equations. i explained what step by step it was fun it made me fill like I'm the teacher.it can help them by telling them what to do when your solving one step equations.

  5. The topic I chose to do my Math Tutorial Video was Factoring Algebraic expressions. It increased my understanding of the vocabulary, but because we learned this, it was easy to make. I gained more vocabulary definitions and to try and figure out how to use it when teaching. It can help students know how to do this to teach other peers and tell their parents what they learned.

  6. The topic I chose for the math tutorial was solving one step equations. This topic increased what I know because I was able not only to show examples but to also learn them myself. My understanding of the vocabulary terms also increased because of this tutorial. I thought that putting together the video was fun because I was able to learn more about how to use the app. I gained the skill of teaching others how to solve one step equations. I think this will help some people who are struggling because they can watch this video and learn how to solve and get a better understanding of the topic.

  7. In Station 6 I chose to do graphing inequalities. The station itself was fun. I like how we got to make our own video. From putting my video together I got to repeat the information I was telling and got to memorize open/close circle more. I think that if a student has struggles with a certain topic they should make a video because I think that they would want to make the video perfect and research about their topic more.

  8. In station 6 i chose to do Combining Like Terms. This station was pretty fun because you get to make a video on how you solve it. Its like your the teacher which is in someways very nerve wrecking and fun at the same time. One thing i learned while i was doing this station was that i could actually teach a person how to combine like terms verbally and show them how to solve it. This can help other students by listening and watching how it is done and when the video is done they could watch it while practicing.

  9. the topic i chose in station 6 was one step equation because i already know how to do it. As i explained how to do it and teaching them how. Most of all i was actually putting my info i told them my name and then i pause and thin what to say after so i kept doing that until i know what to say. how is it fun? it is very fun i actually think math is awesome as in you grow up you will need to learn math, math is in everyday life.it can help students by asking question and taking notes.while they watch and learn how they could practice along as well the video does.
